Is there anyway to print the notation to work with on paper with a student?
Did Motown under paying Jamerson keep him alive longer ????
He eventually got $1000 per week for a period of time. Equal to $8000 today.
Genius
So funky!
Tutti bravissimi peró el Bonguéro es de otro nivel.. 💪😎❤️
James Jamerson was the best!!! Now it's Nathan East!!!

I don’t know if it’s just me but mixing down the vocals or bringing up the bass more in your video cuz it was kind of hard to hear the bass over Stevie’s strong vocals.
It’s a better hearing exercise this way. Helps us listen more sensitively.
Greatest bass player ever just mind blowing genius
great stuff man! Is there any way of moving the page before the end of the guide? Could be a tough call. Love your work.
Thank you very much ;) I'm sorry there is no way to move the page before the end, but you can slow down the speed of the video if this can help you in the first readings
Fuckin good shit
Still one of my favourite more standard & traditional pieces that Jaco has done... Very emotive & those are the one's that always get to more... Sure Jaco like many Jazz musician's & many other's in various genres can play their instruments akin to being able to speak their native language without even thinking about it which in turn is transposed on to their musical instrument as a way of communicating instead, but its the slighter slower emotive one's that are the one's that grab my attention more... I mean no disrespect to other musician's who've come & gone & who left a massive foot print & legacy before they were gone but when are we going to see at least some movies made about these pioneers... Sure most of those films that are based on real people are usually made by lower end or independent directors on a lower budget & are usually movies made for Tv but being a bassist I could easily name many electric bass guitar players who at least deserve this as it would also help to find a newer audience with the younger generations at the same time... Even if we couldn't get movies based on them then at least dedicated documentaries on these players like Jaco Pastorius/Jack Bruce/Bernard Edwards/Louis Johnson/Mick Karn/Cliff Burton as just a few, as I could go on & on... Maybe it's just where I live is the reason I don't see these but showing tells me it's not just me who'd love to see these being made in honor & remembrance of such talent that has passed away but they left an amazing catalogue of music to continue on giving us joy & aspiring us to emulate & find our town voice in music or just in our daily lives... Even here on RUclips I barely see such documentaries about such player's... Sure you'll see them perform but nothing in-depth about them & how they went on to pick the bass as their go to instrument rather than the more accepted instrument like scoustic & lead guitar... It seems to be the role of the fans to continue on their legacy as it seems bassists aren't worth investing movies or documentaries on & that's just wrong... Without the Rythmn Section, consisting of drums & bass, then we would never had all these amazing solo acts & bands that the other musicians could lay their music on the foundation built on solid ground by the Rythmn Section... In light of the still ongoing coronavirus outbreak stay safe and healthy where ever you are wherever you are in the world... Take Care... .....
Great job thanks
.
Wish this had tab. I’m musically illiterate.
Tablature and sheet music; there is really no difference. Sure, you could argue that reading the notes can give you a better understanding of the chord, scale etc. (especially if you're sight-reading), but they both do the job just fine. I would recommend just reading a little bit a day, both sheet music and chords. James was one of the best bass-players to walk this planet, but a lot of his stuff is rather simple actually (although i'm sure he could play his heart out if he only wanted to). The minute you start making a connection between the chord and what you hear, the sheet music merely becomes a more complicated form of tablature. Chord tones reveal so much of what you hear and what you want to play, so keep it at! Stay groove and play for yourself!
Use your ears...if you can't hum it without your bass, you don't know it. You can do it, just work hard.
@@Mrtruthofguitar this is so true i remember my dad telling me when i was younger that if it could be hummed that you could find it on guitar, and while its true for guitar its became my backbone for finding bass lines out. And sometimes jamerson mesmerizes me with seemingly un-hummable floating basslines that you really have to take a few guesses at on the fretboard to find what sequence he did

Could you send PDF of this transcription?
Bravissimo.

Fichissimo! Ottimo lavoro
ty
great piece of work, thanks! any chances to have the pdf of the transcription?
Lavoro straordinario! Grande!!!
Perfect!
Grandissimo lavoro, grazie veramente
Amazing transcription! Does anyone know how to get this in a printable format?
Does anybody knows what effects he uses to get this tone?
bridge pickup, mid~high tone, fretless bass e recorded two basses to cause this chorus effect
Can you send me the chart for this?
is there any way we could have access to the whole thing, maybe as a pdf? i really want to print this out and use it (as well as with your video), so is there any way to do that?
pause it and make screenshots...
I've been trying to figure out the time signature for this. Are you alternating between 4/4 and 3/4 or using a compound meter. Transcribing it from the Chris potter recording.
Also great performance!
I 've written in 7/4 the first 4 bars and 4/4 the other 6 bars
@@thatkuchguy thank you very much !
nice job on the transcription man, i cannot believe he did this with one finger i refuse
lmaof.
Great!! You are too silent a little bit
Great job!
Amazing job man. Thanks!!
cool where was this?
Hi ! It was at Adria Music Conservatory
cool. i like the tenor player's sound. maybe its just this just this recording but its very unique cuz it almost sounds like an alto. also i see you putting in work in the bass. great performance.
The Chunky Trucker Thank you man!
Perfect!
grandissimo.....grazie grazie grazie
Thanks for no tabs - useless and distracting feature
Tomek if you can read sheet it's turn to dat, this is the real moviment of music in self
Tomek use your ears..
I do use, but sometimes want to practice my sight reading not TAB reading - that was my point. Still agree ears are more important. Cheers!
Tomek i agree
I mostly agree, plus being able to figure out the fingering of tough 16th note lines is a great skill to develop. But if you've just started your journey and you have no idea how to finger most of Jaco's lines, then I'd say there's nothing wrong with tabs
thanks for this!
I love the production values of this video NICE WORK
Thank you very much !
@@Jackbass82 Hi, Good job! Thank you. I know it was hard decision about key change. But why you chose F-sharp instead of G-flat?
